A Sneak Peek at the Swarovski Christmas 2012 Range

It may well be the middle of Summer but we couldn't wait to share pictures with you of the Christmas 2012 Annual Star and a couple of other pieces released for Christmas 2012.

Swarovski Christmas Ornament Annual Edition 2012 (1125019)

For fans and collectors of the Swarovski Annual Ornament, this star is the 21st in the collection that spans back to 1991. The clear crystal snowflake demonstrates superb craftsmanship and this years flake looks very traditional.

It hangs on a white ribbon and features the year 2012 on a silver-toned metal plate at the top of the star. It measures approximately 6.5cm x 8cm and is presented in the typical Swarovski blue triangular box.

The SCS members Swarovski Annual Ornament star is also expected to be released again this year, in the same design as the general release 2012 star but in the classic golden shade of crystal. We expect this to arrive in the iconic golden triangular box and as always, this star is only available for purchase by registered SCS Members.

Swarovski Christmas Angel Ornament Annual Edition 2012 (1139994)

This year sees the release of another annual angel decorative ornament following on from the success of the angel from previous years.

The Christmas Angel is a classical symbol of hope, peace and tranquillity, and is always a popular choice for decorating the Christmas tree. This beautiful Swarovski angel shines in gorgeous clear crystal and she has been embellished with Crystal Moonlight wings.

Available for 2012 only, the Swarovski Angel Annual Ornament comes with the year engraved on her skirt. Like the star snowflake, the angel hangs on a white satin ribbon but unlike the star, the Angel can also be displayed free-standing. Proudly hang her on your Christmas tree or rest her safely on your mantelpiece - the choice is yours.

Swarovski Christmas Set 2012 (1139999)

As in previous years, the Swarovski Christmas Set will be released alongside the Annual Snowflake Star and comprises of three star decorations. The centrepiece is the Swarovski Christmas Ornament Annual Edition 2012 which is framed by two smaller identical stars. This set is perfect if you like to proudly decorate your Christmas tree or home with beautiful Swarovski snowflakes as the set offers exceptional value for money.

Swarovski Poinsettia, Large (1139997)

This quintessentially festive plant ornament has gone straight to the top of our Swarovski wish list as we were looking at buying the original Swarovski Poinsettia. This version is larger and thus has more detailing.

The piece makes use of clear crystal for the flowerpot as well as the floral stems, Light Siam red crystal for the beautiful flowers, Peridot green crystal for the leaves and golden Light Topaz crystal to accentuate the centres of the flowers. Silver toned metal decorates the rim of the pot and the bud of the flowers.

We hope this piece lasts as it is a timeless classic and offers more detail than the original Swarovski Poinsettia whilst retaining all of the festive charm. We can't wait to proudly display this piece at Christmas and might keep it on display all year around. We love it!

Swarovski Christmas Snowflake, Limited Edition 2012 (1165310)

With Swarovski, bigger is invariably better and this larger version of the Swarovski Annual Ornament 2012 goes to prove that. Measuring around 26cm this magical crystal snowflake is stunning. It's designed to make more of a prominent show piece than the Annual Ornament whilst looking just as amazing. 6 delicate crystal arms spread from the centre in a symmetrical pattern.

A gorgeous highly polished chrome metal display is supplied and this crystal snowflake affixes to it through the means of a screw in the centre. In this view it looks like a windmill you would find in the Netherlands! On the bottom central branch of this flake reads the edition number as this line is limited to a production of just 1,000.
