Miranda Kerr Showcases the Hero Pieces of the Swarovski AW14 Campaign

In this blog post I take a look at the stunning new Autumn/Winter 2014 (AW14) range of Swarovski jewellery.

Miranda Kerr Showcases the Hero Pieces of the Swarovski AW14 Campaign

Former Victoria’s Secret model and Swarovski’s resident brand ambassador, Miranda Kerr, is back once again as the face of Swarovski for this season’s Autumn/Winter 2014 (AW14, or Fall/Winter 2014/15 (FW14) for those overseas) campaign.

This season's release is just as glamorous as previous seasons. Legendary photographer Steven Meisel has captured Miranda Kerr at her finest, accessorised by stunning Swarovski crystal jewellery. She represents the "Swarovski woman" - a powerful, talented and dynamic individual.

In the shot above, Miranda is showcasing some of the highlights of the AW14 range. The Bound necklace is a statement piece yet delicate in style, created with a harmonious fusion of gold, rose gold and silver and combined with clusters of scintillating crystals. She is also wearing a variety of bracelets and bangles, namely the Bound bracelet and the leather Bound bracelet, paired with two Bolt bangles in rose gold and silver.

Discussing this photoshoot Swarovski’s Creative Director, Nathalie Colin explained that Miranda represents a modern woman, who is bold enough to create their own unique style aesthetic, by wearing a combination of metals, mixing textures and current trends.

For the AW14 collection Swarovski’s team of expert designers created an iconic collection of magnificent pieces, inspired by industrial shapes and qualities, contrasted with a mixture of varied textures and metals. The AW14 collection makes full use of the glamorous sparkle of the crystals, decadent golds, sleek silvers and the elegance of the finer rose gold hues.

Miranda Kerr said "I love the versatility that Swarovski infuses into its collections. [The] pieces are [...] fashionable yet timeless, so you can wear them from morning to evening, with casual and formal styles."

Swarovski’s mission-statement is to consistently create pioneering styles and new innovations, whilst remaining faithful to the classic beauty of a Swarovski crystal, to bring sparkle and joy into the everyday lives of many. This is very true of the AW14 collection.

The Bolt and Bound ranges from Swarovski are my most favourite ranges from the AW14 range, especially in the soft and subtle rose gold shade. I am pretty sure my wife would be very happy if I bought any of these pieces for her. To whet your appetite further here are a couple of my favourite pieces from this new range.

Swarovski Large Bound Necklace

Swarovski Bound Necklace

This is a statement necklace but it’s not bright or loud. The use of rose gold paired with silver tones and clear crystals is subtle and genteel, making this a perfect accessory to a long gown or for a smart business outfit. It oozes style and quality but it doesn’t try and outshine you. It’s perfect for wearing to a romantic candlelit dinner for two.

Swarovski White Crystal & Rose Gold Bolt Pendant

Swarovski Bolt Micro Pendant, Rose Gold

The Bolt range appears to be modelled on an hexagonal bolt but this range is far from the brash industrial image that conjures up. In fact the range almost has a nautical edge to it.

The pendant seems very elegant and beautiful, with dazzling clear crystals set on a backdrop of luscious rose gold, hanging on a matching chain. I think this is more casual than the necklace above and would be more suited to pairing with many casual outfits although it could still be paired with certain evening wear. If rose gold doesn’t make you fall in love this this geometric pendant then it is also available in a silver and original gold version too.
